Or alternately, what plot or scenario have you read over and over in Johnlock fic? It can be one you absolutely love or one you think is done to death.
Answer or ask is fine. And yes, there is a reason I’m asking… ;-)
Hello Emma, I would want to ask you if you are going to write sometime in the near future, because I totally love your work, and frankly I am missing it very much to be looking forward to it each week :). Now I have read all your fics minimally twice, eventually The Alternate Scenes for ACFB and as I said, I am in love with your works, so please don't consider my question for pushing you or so, I just adore your work so much!

I’m always writing!
Right now I’m working on a prequel fic for “A Cure for Boredom” and it’s completely kicking my ass. It’s been incredibly slow going so far. My lovely beta has already seen two drafts of the first chapter and it STILL needs work. I thought it would be fairly straightforward to write. I have an outline, after all. I know exactly what’s going to happen. It should be easy to churn it out, right?
Heh, no. It’s turning out to be much more complicated than I expected. It’s been slow going, but I’m hoping that all of this hard work will pay off in something that adds to that universe in a really meaningful way. I’m just not sure exactly when it will be finished or how I will post it.
Thanks for asking, and for reading my fic! I’m always flattered that other people want to read this stuff at all. :-)
Title: Nothing to Make a Song About (10/10 + Epilogue – COMPLETE)
Author: Emma Grant
Fandom/pairing: Sherlock (BBC), John/Sherlock
Rating: Explicit
Summary: When Sherlock returned from his faked death, John could not forgive him for the deception and broke off their friendship. Ten years later, John returns to London in search of yet another new beginning. Sherlock, not surprisingly, is waiting.
Warnings: None
Length: 6800 words this part; 36,800 words total
Notes:
• Written for Alectoperdita, who won a fic from me in a Tumblr giveaway months ago. Sorry I’m just getting to this now, but I hope you enjoy it!
• I need to express my tremendous thanks to drinkingcocoa, without whom this fic would have floundered and lost its way. There were four distinct drafts of the last two chapters of this story, and her feedback was critical in getting it to the point where I was happy with it.
• Title is taken from the poem Reconciliation by William Butler Yeats.

Finally done! Thanks to everyone who read this while it was being posted. I hope you enjoyed the ride! :-)
Was chatting with Madlori earlier and I was reminded about the existence of FFN. I keep forgetting about it because, frankly, I write porn, and they tend not to like the porn so much over there. I think I have a total of three fics posted on that site, in the last decade.
But then I realized that I actually do have one Johnlock fic I could post there, if I leave off the porny epilogue. There were a few references to cocks that I toned down a bit, but otherwise it was fairly straightforward to clean it up. So to speak.
I thought I had another R-rated fic I could post, but it turns out that a fairly pivotal scene is porny, and I don’t think I can edit it out without having to seriously rewrite that part of the fic. And meh, I’m way too lazy for that. :-P
Anyway, it’s posted here, in case you want to read this cleaner version: Just a Kiss — the junior FFN edition!
